Player Lite in detail
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | SZP-L1 (Szenera Player Lite) |
| Computer | Raspberry Pi 5, 2 GB of memory, 32 GB memory card |
| Video output | Micro-HDMI for one display, up to 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz according to the printed insert, up to 4K according to the comparison on the product page |
| Network | Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45), Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz |
| Power supply | 5 V ⎓ 5 A over USB-C, plus a power supply with 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz, and 27 W |
| Power consumption | typically under 10 W |
| Environment | indoors, dry, 0 to 40 °C |
| Case | aluminum, passively cooled, about 220 g |
| Software | SzeneraOS based on Debian GNU/Linux, signed updates with fallback |
These two specifications differ between the documents: The printed quick start guide in the box gives 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz for the video output, and the comparison on the product page gives a display up to 4K. We do not resolve the contradiction here. Support can tell you which resolution your device outputs. In any case, the Player Lite plays moving images up to Full HD.
The type and serial number are on the label on the underside of the case, in the format 26-L1-0001. The box and the delivery note carry the same number.
Radio specifications of the Player Lite
Radio module for Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5.0. Frequency ranges and maximum transmit power, each within the limits permitted in the EU:
| Radio | Range and power |
|---|---|
| Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz | 2400 to 2483.5 MHz, at most 20 dBm |
| Wi-Fi 5 GHz | 5150 to 5350 MHz at most 23 dBm, indoors only, and 5470 to 5725 MHz at most 30 dBm |
| Bluetooth | 2400 to 2483.5 MHz, at most 20 dBm, not used by SzeneraOS |
The range 5150 to 5350 MHz is restricted to indoor use in all EU member states. The radio equipment type complies with Directive 2014/53/EU, and the device additionally with Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS). The enclosed quick start guide says where to find the full text of the EU declaration of conformity. We also send it on request to support@szenera.com.

Display and connector
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Which TV or monitor fits? | Any with a free HDMI input: a retail TV as well as a panel for continuous operation. |
| Which resolution? | Full HD is the default. Both models output up to 4K. The Player Pro plays video in 4K. 4K is unlocked with the Pro package and above. For the Player Lite, the printed insert gives 1920 × 1080 at 60 Hz on this point. When in doubt, ask support. |
| Landscape or portrait? | Both are equivalent. If the TV or monitor hangs rotated, enter the rotation once: 90, 180, or 270 degrees. |
| Can the TV or monitor be switched and dimmed? | The device tries that out by itself. The result appears in the What this display can do card. |
Builds the portal knows
In the list under Devices, every device carries a Build: Raspberry Pi 5, Raspberry Pi 4, Linux machine, or Web display. If a device has never reported, not reported yet appears there. The System column names SzeneraOS with version and channel for a player, and Browser for every device without SzeneraOS.
Security updates
The player receives security updates for SzeneraOS automatically and at no additional cost, for at least five years from the day of delivery to you. The date is on the delivery note. The player accepts no connections from outside. It builds a secured connection to our servers itself.
Please report security vulnerabilities confidentially to security@szenera.com. How we handle them is described at https://szenera.com/vertrauen.
Disposal and take-back
Player and power supply do not belong in household waste. The label carries the crossed-out bin for that. We take old devices back free of charge and recycle them: a message to support@szenera.com is enough, and we send a return label. The device contains no battery. You hand in the packaging through the recycling collection.
Software and licenses
The player runs SzeneraOS based on Debian GNU/Linux and contains open-source software under the GNU GPL, GNU LGPL, and other licenses. The license texts and the list of components are stored on the device. The enclosed quick start guide explains how to reach them. If you need them as a file, a message to support@szenera.com is enough. The Szenera application itself, that is, agent, display software, and platform, is not open-source software.
Source-code offer. For the components of SzeneraOS licensed under the GPL and LGPL, we offer you and any third party to send the complete machine-readable source code on a data carrier, against reimbursement of the costs for the data carrier and shipping. The offer is valid for three years from delivery of the device, but at least as long as we offer spare parts or customer service for this type. Send requests with type and serial number to support@szenera.com.
