The fleet shows a status word or the record shows a warning band, and you want to know what it means.

A display reports three things separately: whether it reports in (Status), whether it shows a picture (Visibility), and what is currently going wrong (incidents as warning bands). Read the three tables independently of one another. A display can be Online and still be Showing nothing.
Status: does the device report in?
Every device sends a check-in every 30 seconds. The three operational status values are derived solely from the age of the last check-in. The status is pure time arithmetic. It says nothing about whether a picture is visible.
| Status in the fleet | In the display record | Meaning | Derivation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Online | Reporting in | The display reports normally and is reachable. | last check-in younger than 60 seconds |
| Delayed | Delayed | The display was there a moment ago but is not reporting right now, often because of a brief network dropout. | last check-in 60 seconds to 5 minutes old |
| Offline | No connection | The display has not reported for a while, for example because it is switched off or without network. | last check-in older than 5 minutes |
| Not connected | Created, no browser connected yet | The web display is created, but no browser has opened its address yet. | independent of the check-in |
| Suspended | Suspended | Your organization is suspended. Until the suspension ends, the display does not play. | independent of the check-in |
| Frozen | Frozen – more devices than booked | More displays are paired than booked. This display does not play until a seat becomes free. | independent of the check-in |
| Removed | Removed | The display was removed. It no longer appears in the fleet, only in the change log. | independent of the check-in |
Each tile and each row additionally shows Last seen … with the time of the last report. If the display has never reported, it says Never seen. The fleet updates live, so you do not need to reload the page.
A display reported as Offline keeps its picture: It keeps playing the version it loaded last. Only the status dot and Last seen … show you that the feedback is missing.

1 Status dot · 2 Last seen … · 3 Running content · 4 Still preview — The display is not reporting right now, and the tile still names what is running on it.
Visibility: does the display show a picture?
Visibility appears next to the status in the header of the display record, on the Status card of the Overview tab, and in the tile and row of the fleet. It comes from the device’s self-report about this one display.
| Visibility | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Showing content | The display software is running and delivering pictures. | none |
| Starting up | The display software is starting. | Wait about a minute. |
| Showing a fault | The display software is running but cannot reach its content and shows an error screen. | Check the network connection of the device. |
| Showing nothing | The display is black: panel in standby, display software signed off, or display software stopped. | The warning band names the cause, see below. |
| No cable | No panel is detected at the connector of this display. | Check the cable and the input selection on the panel. |
| No report | The device has not reported anything about this display yet. | Wait for the next report. The record says No report about the display. |
Incidents: what is going wrong right now
If there is a fault, it appears as a warning band on the detail page of the display, in plain language instead of an error number. Each band immediately names the most likely cause. Several bands can appear at the same time.
| Warning band | Most likely cause | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Device offline | The device no longer reports. | Check power and network on site, or whether someone switched it off. |
| Device reporting irregularly | The last report is older than usual, most often because of unstable Wi-Fi at the installation site. | Check the Wi-Fi at the installation site. |
| Weak Wi-Fi signal | The band names the measured value in dBm. Below −75 dBm, the connection tends to drop. | Move the router or set up a repeater. |
| Power supply throttling | The device is currently throttling because of undervoltage. Mostly the power supply is too weak or the cable too long. The picture stutters without any error being reported. | Replace the power supply and the cable. |
| Storage low | Less than 2 GB free. The next larger content sync may fail. | Remove unused content. |
| Clock out of sync | The device clock runs without synchronization. Schedules then switch at the wrong moment. | Allow time synchronization in the network, see Troubleshooting on the device. |
| Display output hung | The display software no longer delivers pictures. | Restart through the remote maintenance of the device. |
| No cable | No panel is detected at the connector of this display. | Check the cable and the input selection on the panel. |
| This display shows no picture (display software not running) | The device reports in, but the display software is not running. | Restart through the remote maintenance of the device. |
| This display shows no picture (standby) | The panel is in standby. | Switch it on in the Screen tab. |
| This display shows no picture (signed off) | The display software was signed off and shows only the farewell text. | Re-pair the display. |
| Display is starting up | The display software is starting. | If there is still no picture after about a minute, restart through remote maintenance. |
| This display shows a fault | The display software cannot reach its content and shows an error screen. | Check the network connection of the device. |
| This display shows “Permanently offline” | After several attempts, the display software cannot reach the cloud. An error screen appears on the panel, visible to everyone. | Check the network and internet access at the installation site. |

1 Status word Offline · 2 Visibility No report · 3 Warning band Device offline
Connection: Wi-Fi levels and realtime channel
The Connection card on the Overview tab has six rows: Wi-Fi, Network, Response time, Realtime channel, IP address, and Last reported. In the Wi-Fi row is a signal bar with five levels, and next to it the measured value in dBm.
| Level | Measured value | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| very good | −60 dBm and better | Connection normal. |
| good | −61 to −68 dBm | Connection stable. |
| adequate | −69 to −75 dBm | Dropouts possible. The installation site is at the edge of range. |
| very weak | worse than −75 dBm | Below the dropout limit. |
| no connection | no value reported | The device reports no Wi-Fi, for example because it is connected by cable. |
The Weak Wi-Fi signal warning band does not depend on the level but on the measured value: It appears at −75 dBm and below and names the measured value.
The Realtime channel row says how quickly instructions arrive: connected means that commands and content changes reach the device immediately. If it says disconnected, the device fetches them only at the next sync.
The map in the fleet
In the Map view, the displays appear at their locations. If no device in the filtered selection knows its position, it says No device in this selection knows its location. The device determines the position itself. You can correct it in the Location card of the Settings tab.
